2014 Native FilmFest at the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs

Love film? Then you will love the 2014 Native FilmFest being held Tuesday, March 4 through Sunday, March 9 at Camelot Theatres in central Palm Springs. Celebrating its 13th season, the film festival is a signature Agua Caliente Cultural Museum program.

The filmfest features the best in films and cinematography by, about, and starring Native Americans as well as other Indigenous peoples from around the world. Following the screenings, filmmakers, directors and actors in attendance will present an informative Q&A session. Native FilmFest features the best film highlighting and showcasing work by and about Native Americans. The stunningly beautiful cinematography and diversity of subject matter of these films will inspire you.

This year’s film festival will present important new Native feature films such as:

  • Maïna, featuring award-winning Canadian actress Tantoo Cardinal
  • Navajo Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (Navajo with English subtitles).
  • Desert Dreams, a documentary.
  • Miss Chief: Justice of the Piece, a poignant sort film is sure to engage and inform, as well as, entertain.
